As Producer of Marketing and Distribution at the Scottish Documentary Institute, I've been buiding various film websites based on NationBuilder. With SDI's Virtuous Circle initiative, we're testing new tools and strategies for audience engagement, with generous support by Creative Scotland.
My background is in documentary film and television, mostly doing cinematography for others, but also some work as a filmmaker, most notably Upstream Battle – shown at more than 30 festivals around the world, winning a number of environmental and human rights awards.
As co-host of The D-Word for more than ten years, I feel like we've been at the forefront of social and professional networking among documentary filmmakers since the early days.
